We provide our members with educational programs, an online membership directory, a bimonthly newsletter, and networking opportunities with other Volunteer Administrators.

Join Elizabeth Tryon, Assistant Director for Community-Based Learning at the Morgridge Center for Public Service at the UW-Madison*, for the January 18 DCAVS’ Lunch and Learn.  Explore the benefits of service learning for your organization.  What is service learning? How is service learning affecting the volunteer landscape in Madison?  Discover tips which can make your service learning experience more successful.  Learn about service learning community standards which are designed to elevate program success.  This is your chance to get involved with service learning if you are not, already.

*Ms.Tryon is also Co-chair of the Wisconsin Without Borders Advisory Board. She consults across campus, the state, nationally and internationally on community-based learning and research and community partner relationships.  She is co-editor of The Unheard Voices: Community Organizations and Service Learning. 

 

 

Cost: $14 for DCAVS members, $19 for nonmembers. Cost includes meal and seminar fee. Payment is required, once registered, whether you attend or not.  Evertone registered by the deadline and in attendance at the program by 11:45am is eligible to win a free Lunch and Learn Program certificate for a future program. A meal cannot be guaranteed to those arriving past 12:10pm.
